The Ghost Game: Dead Gods

Summary:

The Ghost Game comes from an ancient Japanese storytelling game hyaku monogatari, which roughly translates to "100 supernatural tales." This presentation of The Ghost Game focused upon the demise of deities.

Story:

Hyaku monogatari is an ancient Japanese custom where the villagers would gather in a house and light 100 candles. With each tale the audience would extinguish a candle.
For this production The Cabiri focused upon the gods that were unable to escape the cruel hand of fate. The nightbegan with a 25 minute performance of the death of Attis. This was followed by the paracide of Coatlique. A side of Pan that he public rarely sees was dished up with dessert and we hinted at a greater hittite production with Telepinu followed by an encore of the Descent of Inanna.
The night finished up with a 30 minute performance of the Life of Wotan which featured most of the teutonic gods key life and death experiences.
