The war I remember, the first in the world… Was over Gullveig, lover of gold… When the Gods with spears had smitten Gullveig… And in the hall of Odin had burned her… Three times burned, and three times born… Oft and again, yet ever she lives, Gleaming Heid they named her when she came to the house… The wide-seeing witch, in magic wise, She performed the forbidden sei magic where she could, Worked sei in a trance… And to evil women, she was always a joy…

Gullveig (Wotan, The Fires of Gulveig)
The witch of the aesir, Gulveig is a troll woman who was thrice burned in the Völuspá yet still lived and was also reputed to have birthed Fenryr.
