Syrinx
10/16/09
Syrinx was the nymph who bore the terrible fate of having memory. Able to remember, she knew the god Pan would come again and rape her along with the other Nymphs. In this knowledge she went forth and rand from the great god Pan. To the marshes Syrinx fled and the water nymphs took pity on her then In anger Pan hunted her down into the marshes and with his knife chopped down Syrinx in her reed form. Now as we walk the forest we hear the screams of Syrinx as Pan plays his flute.
