Organization

The Anunnaki Project is an organization seeking to investigate and preserve the myths and folklore of extinct cultures through artistic expression.

The Anunnaki Project is a nonprofit organization.

Our organization was founded in 1997 by a small collective of artists who came together to create a theatrical production based on a myth.

In 1998, our first full-scale production Surpu Masu was presented with overwhelming success. It marked the beginning of our relationship with technicians, theatre professionals, and academia.

In 2000, The Anunnaki Project incorporated as a nonprofit organization in Washington State, and our Board of Directors was established.

The organization continued to grow, and in May 2001, our first annual fundraiser Origins I was held, drawing critical acclaim from peer organizations and members of the Seattle and King County Arts Commissions.

In August 2001, the IRS granted federal 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax status to the organization. A portion of your financial contributions to the organization are tax deductible.
