Spring

2009

Daedalus has risen, before an appreciative crowd of over 1,500 spectators and honored guests! Thanks to all who joined us on May 1, 2009 to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and mark the debut of Daedalus, our freestanding portable aerial dance structure, created by Seattle metal sculptor Thomas York.

Nearly 100 artists and volunteers were involved in making this production possible and we'd like to thank them for their energy, efforts, creativity, and support. Special thanks to Matthew Richter for introducing the event, The Red King of Portland, OR for his auditory and visual alchemy, and Radost Folk Ensemble for their contributions to the event.

Please see photos by Jessie Heaven Lotz and photos, video and a review on the Capitol Hill Seattle blog.

See our calendar page to find out when you can see our next performance.
